Therapie
Alzheimer-Therapeutika > NMDA-Antagonisten
Indikation
Mittelschwere bis schwere Alzheimer-Krankheit (MMSE 3–19).
Dosierung
Unabhängig der Mahlzeiten.
>18 J.: 1. Wo.: 1×tgl. 5 mg, 2. Wo.: 1×tgl. 10 mg, 3. Wo.: 1×tgl. 15 mg, ab der 4. Wo.: 1×tgl. 20 mg; max. 20 mg tgl.

Symptomatische Behandlung von Patienten mit mittelschwerer bis schwerer Alzheimer-Krankheit:
Zu Therapiebeginn und regelmässig im Verlauf der Therapie (alle 6 Monate) ist jeweils im Rahmen der klinischen Gesamtbeurteilung (Alltagsfunktion, Verhaltensauffälligkeiten, Kognition) eine Beurteilung der Kognition mittels kognitivem Screening vorzunehmen: Durchführung eines Minimentaltests (mini mental status examination (MMSE), ggf. Umrechnung Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA). Die MMSE-Werte sollen bei Therapiebeginn zwischen 3 und bis 19 Punkten) liegen. Im Stadium schwerster Demenz, MMSE-Werte unter 3 ist die Behandlung zu beenden. Die Behandlung darf nur mit einem Präparat zur Behandlung der Alzheimer-Krankheit durchgeführt werden, eine Kombinationsbehandlung wird nicht vergütet.
