Die Verabreichung von Methotrexat nach Lachgasanästhesie ist neu kontraindiziert. Die Verwendung von Distickstoffmonoxid Anästhetika verstärkt den Effekt von Methotrexat auf den Folat Stoffwechsel, was zu einer erhöhten Toxizität wie schwerwiegende unvorhersehbare Myelosuppression, Stomatitis und Neurotoxizität führt.
